Spring
Happy spring! Look at these flowers! With this outfit I pulled the black in the skirt together with a thin black belt, shoes and black purse. Then with a pop of blue to match the bright flowers we see in spring. Skirt from forever21.com

The Power of Modesty
I enjoyed this blog post from Jew in the City so much and I identify with it strongly. I had such a similar experience, I was the girl wearing bikinis and short shorts because I could pull it off and I thought it made me feel good but just like Jew in the City I also felt violated when someone would check me out or say something without any desire to know me as a person. This is a great read.

Season Transitions: Spring to Fall to Winter

I like this dress because it is simple yet elegant. I've worn this dress to class and to more fancy events as well. It can be dressed up with some jewelry or dressed down with a jean jack and sandals. I would wear this dress in fall and winter because the sleeves are 3/4 length and the dress is long. I like this outfit because I chose a black shirt to go with an off white flowy skirt because at the time it was warm but starting to become fall. Dark colors with staple spring pieces can offer a transition into the seasons. The skirt and shirt are both from Ross http://www.rossstores.com
