Walmart skirt at Pesach
Another great example of a nice Walmart skirt is this one that I wore to the first Pesach seder. It is pretty nice quality for about $13! It doesn't have a slip layer under it but I actually like that because its opaque enough on its own and its always nice to wear less layers when possible in this hot Florida weather. Trampoline Outfit of The Day
Dressing modest doesn't hold me back from anything, even jumping on a trampoline for example. I mentioned in the previous post that I buy many skirts from Walmart and here is one of them, also these awesome popsicle leggings are from there and they were about four bucks! Walmart.com

Walmart 360
Check out this 360 photo I took! I chose Walmart because surprisingly enough I actually find so many modest skirts here! Most of the skirts I wear during the week are from Walmart, they have so many different colors and I think they are a perfect length for casual outfits that I bike and go to class in.

Haggadah Tour at UF
I went on a Haggadah tour on campus at the University of Florida in the Judaica library that is within the Smathers library also known as library east. The tour was very interesting and we saw old, new, and intricate variations of a Haggadah. Pesach is right around the corner so this tour was really fun and I learned a lot about the history of the book. Some of the books even had old wine stains in them, some were beautiful hand written and with other art mediums incorporated to create an amazing artistic Haggadah.

Spring Shabbos
These photos are from a shabbat I had at my Rabbi’s house. It is very hot and humid in Florida (like always) and again because it is technically spring I chose to go all out with a spring look which is kind of hard when your closet consists of mostly navy blue, black and grey items. I managed and I think it worked out, I even made a makeshift flower crown thing with a headband. Skirt from forever21.com top: Thrifted

Production-Student Style
Had fun (amongst the stress) filming for a few classes. Check out this unique style from this day, I was very busy so sometimes my outfits aren't the most "fashionable" but I was warm, comfortable, and MODEST! I still kinda dig it though. I really enjoy my thrifted orange jacket with the velcro strap sandals from target.com

Spring
Happy spring! Look at these flowers! With this outfit I pulled the black in the skirt together with a thin black belt, shoes and black purse. Then with a pop of blue to match the bright flowers we see in spring. Skirt from forever21.com

The Power of Modesty
I enjoyed this blog post from Jew in the City so much and I identify with it strongly. I had such a similar experience, I was the girl wearing bikinis and short shorts because I could pull it off and I thought it made me feel good but just like Jew in the City I also felt violated when someone would check me out or say something without any desire to know me as a person. This is a great read.

Follow me around: The Harn Museum
Going to the Harn museum in Gainesville with my cousin! pic.twitter.com/016scwfnfU— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
We got into the museum for free, also free parking after 3:30pm. This is a cool abstract piece. pic.twitter.com/9Hmq4ey6e9— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
There are many types of mediums in this museum. Check this out, I can't tell what this is, anyone understand it? pic.twitter.com/jQR0TsPkAy— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
This is an interesting piece, a pool with shooting targets. I would not recommend this museum for children...lol pic.twitter.com/TtzcRhUVba— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
This installation was a video projection of a book, there was music and animation/stop motion on the book. pic.twitter.com/5KsNaNMZys— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
This one appears to have some mathematical reasoning...hmm makes you think. pic.twitter.com/HYJAddwicC— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
This piece was really cool, a light on a mirror with cement walls and when you look down it appears never ending! pic.twitter.com/94BFTmi3Ot— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
This one is interesting, its cool to look at, not sure if it symbolizes something in particular. pic.twitter.com/tQ8zJMiI9l— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
The Harn museum also has this beautiful Asian garden outside. So relaxing! pic.twitter.com/gF1jL7r3lO— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
This garden is so serene, I highly recommend stressed college students to come here! pic.twitter.com/KZv8oQieFz— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
There is also a rock garden outside! pic.twitter.com/nKY8fqxqWB— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016
We stopped at this interesting piece, overall it was a fun time. I felt a bit more relaxed leaving the Harn museum. pic.twitter.com/EEdybgjbI7— Ellie Kremer (@EllieKremerUF) February 25, 2016

Season Transitions: Spring to Fall to Winter
Photography by Delane Ashley
I like this dress because it is simple yet elegant. I've worn this dress to class and to more fancy events as well. It can be dressed up with some jewelry or dressed down with a jean jack and sandals. I would wear this dress in fall and winter because the sleeves are 3/4 length and the dress is long. It is Calvin Klein Brand. www.calvinklein.com
I like this outfit because I chose a black shirt to go with an off white flowy skirt because at the time it was warm but starting to become fall. Dark colors with staple spring pieces can offer a transition into the seasons. The skirt and shirt are both from Ross http://www.rossstores.com

Cozy Chic
Photography by Delane Ashley
These outfits are perfect for the current Gainesville weather when its about 70 degrees. The grey knit sweater isn't quite long sleeves but it can be used over long sleeve shirts or other sweaters because the sleeves are so lose. Purchased form: JCPenny, Brand: A.n.a
The purple sweater with adorable faux pearl beads is also great for this weather and if you want to add a pop of color to the typical winter shades of clothing. Purchased from: Forever21
Both tops are modest, chic and cozy. I would pair either of them with a black skirt and combat boots.

My name is Ellie Kremer. Born and raised in Central Florida where humidity is a constant. I am currently a senior at the University of Florida, majoring in production. Although I do hope to be involved in production in some way in my future, fashion and especially “Modest” or “Tzniut” fashion is special to me.
I am Jewish but I was not raised religious. When my curiosity about Judaism sparked , the modesty standards were the easiest mitzvah for me to observe. I love fashion and learning about what modesty means and can do for a person got me excited for the fashion possibilities and benefits. I am on a journey to becoming religious and soon I will be off to Israel for a year to grow as a “Baal Teshuvah” meaning “one who returns”.
So welcome to my new blog where I will show you some modest fashion. I hope to inspire people and show them that dressing “tzniut” can be stylish and awesome too!
Welcome to my first post!
These are a couple of photos from a shoot I did wearing modest clothing.
I wanted the style of the shoot to be mystical and dreamy like.
I chose a robin's egg blue maxi dress but it was sleeveless so I wore a thin white cardigan and white scarf.
The dress is Calvin Klein and it was from Ross, I also saw the exact same one at Kohl's with a different brand name.
I would wear this outfit on a windy Spring day and I think it can be dressed up or down for many different occasions.
